Here's what other America fantasy writers and editors have to say about The Gardens of Lucullus:
"The Gardens of Lucullus is a gem, a find, a rare combination of a modern historical novel, a sword-and-sorcery epic, and the ancient Hellenistic novel. How foolish it would be for me to tell you why the writing is good. It will speak for itself."
-- Robert M. Price
"The Gardens of Lucullus is a joy from beginning to end. Imperial Rome is here, that strangely- modern capital of the ancient world, with all its smells and sights and sounds. The characters are lusty, the action is relentless. Reading this book is like reading an amalgam of Fritz Leiber, Robert Graves, Robert E. Howard, and Edgar Rice Burroughs. I'm going back to Page One and read it again for the sheer pleasure of it all!-- Richard A. Lupoff
"A marvelous blend of Ancient Rome, gladiators, and darkest sorcery that made me torn between reading at fastest speed so as to learn the outcome and slowing the pace so as to savor the excitement. At whatever speed you read, don't miss The Gardens of Lucullus!"-- Gary Gygax
